Venice is marvelous, enjoy it: You will find Hotel Al Piave 3 stars in the heart of Venice's historical city center, in a quiet and secluded location by the campo di Santa Maria Formosa and the famous sites of the Mercato and the Bridge of Rialto. Stroll along Le Mercerie shopping boulevard to enjoy a variety of shops and novelty stores until you get to the most beautiful square in the world, Saint Mark's square, with its Basilica and gorgeous view over the island of San Giorgio. Choose between ferry boat 1 or 51 to reach us, depending on which sites you plan to visit first. If traveling with much luggage, we suggest you get off at the convenient S. Zaccaria stop.
¹ The term crooked refers to the fact that the bridges connecting the city's land strips had to be adjusted to adapt to the calli (streets), never perfectly aligned with one another. This is due to the fact that the roads were originally conceived as access routes to launch boats out to sea.
² Just as the rami and the calli, rughe are typical Venetian paths, lined by homes and shops.

How to Get Here
Starting from the Santa Lucia train station or from the main bus termnal/parking lot at piazzale Roma:
Take ferry boat 1 or 51 to S.Zaccaria.
From the Marco Polo airport:
Public ferry boats ALILAGUNA, (fare is €12) connect the airport directly to Venice, stopping at S.Zaccaria or S.Marco.
FROM THE TREVISO CANOVA AIRPORT:
Take the ATVO public bus to Venice - Piazzale Roma.
From the tourist port:
Take the Alilaguna shuttle to S. Marco or a private water taxi to S. Maria Formosa.
S.Zaccaria: once you get off at the station, find calle delle Rasse beyond palazzo Danieli. Walk to the end of the road. Make a left and then an immediate right. You will see a pharmacy at the corner. Continue straight until you get to the tiny Ponte Storto¹. Continue straight until you reach our road, ruga Giuffa². The hotel is located on the left.
S.Marco: Once you get off the ALILAGUNA boat, begin walking on the right-hand side past a white bridge, known as La Paglia, located next to the Palazzo Ducale. Take the second road on the left, calle delle Rasse, after passing the large palazzo Danieli,and continue walking along the road. Make a left and then an immediate right, where you will see a pharmacy at the corner. Continue straight until you get to the Ponte Storto. Continue straight until you reach our road, ruga Giuffa. The hotel is located on the left.
