The passenger boat operator "I Battelli del Brenta®" (The boats of the Brenta Canal) provide enjoyable guided public cruises, from Venice to Padua or viceversa, along the Brenta Canal (Riviera del Brenta), visiting some of the Venetian Villas, summer residences of the 16th century, with stops at the monumental palaces with its legendary frescoes.
Once along this waterway sailed the "burchielli", boats that carried the Venetian nobleman; nowadays all the boats that cruise along the Brenta Canal are called "burchielli".
The company "I Battelli del Brenta" has many boat carrying from 70 to 135 passengers and romantic "Burci", restored wooden old barges.
A charming cruise, through nine swing bridges and five locks real "water lifts", allowing the descending of an almost 10-metre high water slope between Venice and Padua.
The guided cruises usually include boat trips from Venice to Strà (Venezia, Fusina, Malcontenta, Oriago, Mira, Dolo, Strà,) the visits to the Villa Gradenigo of Oriago, to the Villa Widmann or Barchessa Valmarana of Mira, to the Villa Pisani of Strà, to the Villa Foscari Malcontenta; the guide and the lunch optional on restaurant.
We have also included in our programs a particular visit of the Ancient Mills of the 16th century, historically very important for the economy of this area.
A daily cruise from 09.00 to 18.00 proposes navigation, stops and the visit to three Venetian Villas, the visit to the Ancient Mills of the 16th century in Dolo and the guide; lunch is optional on restaurant.

TOUR
Full day cruise from Venice to Strà:
- 8.40 am embarking in Venice, Riva degli Schiavoni, pontile della Pietà , in front of the Church of Pietà, and start sailing towards the Brenta Riviera; description of the various Villas seen from the river;
- crossing of the Moranzani Lock and ascent to the new water leve
- stop to visit Villa La Malcontenta;
- stop at Oriago for optional lunch
- stop to visit Villa Widmann or Barchessa Valmarana at Mira;
- embarkation and navigation;
- crossing of the Mira and Dolo locks;
- arrival in Strà and stop to visit Villa Pisani;
- bus transfer to Padua bus station, arrival expected at approx. 6,30 pm. and back by bus.

The price of this cruise includes the navigation, the guide and the entrance fees to the Villas

- Tour full day cruise, per adult person Euro 84,00

- Tour full day cruise, per person over 65 on Saturday / Sunday e festivities Euro 71,00

- Tour full day cruise, per person over 65 on weekdays and July/August Euro 56,00

- Tour full day cruise, July and August, per adult person Euro 71,00

- Tour full day cruise, per youth aged 12 to 17 Euro 56,00

- Tour full day cruise, per children aged 6 to 11 Euro 40,00

- Infant from 0 until 5 years Free

- Optional fish lunch, per person Euro 30,00

The fish lunch includes: an entrée, a first course which is a taste of two pasta dishes with fish of the day, a main course made up of mixed grilled or baked fish; seasonal vegetables, dessert, 1/4l wine and ½ l mineral water.
The price includes: entrance fees to the Villa Foscari in Malcontenta, Barchessa Valmarana or Villa Widmann in Mira and to the Villa Pisani; cruise and daily guide service.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The trip-contracts are regulated by the law n. 1084 of 27th/12/1977 (CCV) and by the legislative decree 111/1995. The responsibility of the company can never exceed the limits, provided for by the mentioned law. The acceptance of the booking depends on the availability of seats and it is concluded with the confirmation and the balance payment.

2. The society has the power to modify or cancel the trip in circumstances beyond somebody' s control. The society can cancel the contract if the number of travellers (35 people) has not been reached. The seats are not numbered. It is not a public transportation service, but a trip-package, regulated by the regional law 33 of 04.11.2002. As a consequence the reservation is compulsory.

3. The non-departure of the boats due to a technical cause or to circumstances, that don't depend on the will of the society, gives right to repayment of the money, paid by the traveller. The society is not responsible for the unexpected closing of the villas and for the delays or interruptions, due to problems with the opening-manoeuvring of the locks or of the bridges, that depend on the public administration or on unexpected orders of closing.

4. Animals are not allowed on board. Only hand luggage are allowed. It is not allowed to take pictures inside the villas. The society is not responsible for the personal belongings, left on board, during the stops.

5. The booking, that can be made at the travel agency, there is a booking fee. No refund is due in case of renunciation. When the trip is confirmed, the booking has to be balanced.

6. In case of renunciation there are the following penalties:
- 50% of the trip fee, save the booking fee, if the renunciation happens 5 days prior the date of departure;
- the complete trip fee after that date or in case of no show.

7. This translation of the regulations is approximate. In case of dispute the Italian regulations are the valid ones. For any dispute the Padua law court has jurisdiction.
